About VESA
VESA’s humanitarian and conservation projects aim to provide direct action support to communities in parts of the world overlooked by traditional charities and aid organisations.
Learn moreVESA has been collaborating with universities around the world since 2009, with a vision to give students the opportunity to join a social enterprise that promotes global change. Through our programs, students participate in humanitarian work in regions largely overlooked by charities, foreign aid and governmental support.
We facilitate short-term projects including the construction of houses, classrooms and school infrastructure, as well as long-term projects in the fields of education and conservation.
All our building and teaching materials are sourced locally, stimulating local economy and keeping our carbon footprint to an absolute minimum. VESA staff members manage each worksite and are responsible for overseeing all activity.
We endeavour to provide a safe and secure environment for our volunteers. VESA’s directors regularly check in on each program to ensure the highest standards of health and safety are being met. All of our in-country staff members are senior first-aid certified, and are always on hand to assist should any issue arise.
We pride ourselves on working alongside local villages and charities to provide long-term sustainable change where it’s needed most. All projects are co-ordinated and led by VESA staff members, and all responsibility for the projects lies with VESA management – we are accountable.
