About Us

VESA is a humanitarian organization that started back in 2009. Since then we have brought over 20,000 students and volunteers from around the world to do some amazing volunteer work in our 4 different programs.

Given the ongoing uncertainty surrounding COVID-19 we’ve made it easier than ever for you to change your travel plans with us if necessary. Our worry-free booking policy now gives you the flexibility to change your trip dates and/or location as many times as you need, free of charge, up until 45 days prior to your trip start date.

How to become a VESA volunteer

A VESA humanitarian and conservation project lets you experience total cultural immersion in some of the most beautiful and remote parts of the globe, parts that have been overlooked by traditional charities and aid organisations. Our volunteer projects give you the chance to meet and live with the communities you’re helping, make new friends and watch your contribution change lives. Just how much can you experience in two weeks? Let us show you.

Make an application through a meeting at your university or click on the Apply Now button

2. Enrol

Receive an email with instructions and a secure link to enrol

3. Submit

Submit the enrolment form with your chosen dates and destination

4. Pay

Pay your program deposit

5. Confirm

Receive your program confirmation within 24 hours

6. Fundraise

Receive our fundraising guide with helpful tips and ideas

7. Extend your trip

Receive an optional extension tour booking form

8. Secure group flights

Secure your flights on VESAs optional group flight with a deposit

9. Facebook

Join your Facebook discussion group and get to know your team

10. Handy advice

Receive handy advice with our regular travel updates, such as packing lists, itineraries, cash and currency advice, optional activities list and gift ideas

Who we support

We endeavour to support as many communities in developing countries as we can, from sponsoring students in Fiji to children in Ecuador through World Vision’s child sponsorship program. As well as these, we support WWF, Emdoneni Cat Rehabilitation Centre and Taronga Zoo.
